The acts were popular, the ticket price, however, wasn’t. Armed with my exclusive ALL ACCESS PASS, a camera and the privilege to be anywhere and everywhere (cept’ for the girl’s toilet of course), I stood right in front of the pit - where the audience is - pretty disappointed that the biggest crowd was only about 30 people maximum at any one time. Much less if you don’t include other photographers who were also in the pit.
The night started with a whole lot of energy, but it quickly died down as the ones who had performed left the venue after their slot. Nothing new there, eh? Continue reading »

We’re in KL doing some exclusive sneak-peeks of the KL Hiphop Fest at Modesto. The media conference starts today but the actual event will only begin tomorrow at 12pm to 2am the following day. Tickets are selling at RM55 (approximately SGD 23) and if you get all your friends to come, you can split your hotel bills.
But don’t fret, we’re covering the event and we’ll give you a glimpse of the scene. Let’s just hope we get to rub shoulders with Soul ID, KLG Sqwad, Phlowtron, Altimet and many more. There’s also a rumor that some of the XS guys are performing - more on that once we return with the pictures.
